DIVERSITY, EQUITY,
AND INCLUSION STATEMENT
As a woman-owned small business, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion were at the heart of our founding, and are in the heart of our daily operation. We’ve learned through decades of work in water and natural resources is that when people feel respected, included, seen, valued and fairly compensated, they bring their best selves to work. Research shows an undeniable correlation between happy workers and lower employee turnover and higher engagement and productivity. This isn’t just a feel-good program: it helps us bring our clients the best value.

Our firm’s operations and selection of sub-contractors supports diversity, equity and inclusion
by implementing the following:
Every employee, client, stakeholder, or sub- contractor may bring their whole self in their interactions with Resilience Resources. This means feeling welcome, valued and heard so they can bring their perspectives on a problem, their experiences, their needs and their expertise to bear in identifying and addressing water, natural resource and resilience issues.
We work to build an inclusive environment and culture, through open discussion, literature review, personal education. To do so requires ongoing learning and curiosity coupled with regular organizational review of policies and process to reduce bias and support equitable experiences for all within our organization and for everyone we interact with.
We serve communities in which we work through philanthropy. Our primary philanthropy has centered around food scarcity. We review and select organizations for donations annually based on input from within, and where we’ve worked through the year.
Selection of Subcontractors & Hiring: We seek to attract a workforce that is diverse and brings diverse experiences and points of view to solving the problems of tomorrow and supporting that solutions are equitable across landscapes.
We drive inclusive principles into daily behavior, decisions and how we do business.
