INTERN PROGRAM
Resilience Resources’ internship program offers hands on experience in water and natural resources management, guided by industry professionals with over 20 years of experience. Our goal is to help students grow their knowledge and build confidence in their skillset.
The program has included water quality monitoring in lakes and streams, stream flow gauging, stream and lake morphometry data collection, watershed-based education and outreach, BMP survey and inspections, data analysis and reporting, as well as opportunities for independent learning. Interns are also given the opportunity to partially individualize their experience with one-on-one mentorship and specialized training in our focus areas that are aligned with their career goals.
Resilience Resources' interns have successfully transitioned into full-time positions in a range of professional settings. Alumni of the program have secured roles in city governments, watershed districts, environmental consulting, and permanent positions within Resilience Resources itself. The program’s combination of technical training, mentorship, and real-world applications has proved to be a strong foundation for launching careers in the environmental and natural resource sectors. “Our intern program is one of my favorite parts of Resilience Resources.” says our founder, Rebecca Carlson.
